Music of the Holocaust and the Will to Survive
$25
AW0140 – October 29 at 4pm – 5:30pm, Thursday
In commemorating the 75th year since the liberation of the Nazi concentration camps, this presentation will feature music during the Holocaust, focusing on how music was used not only as a way for prisoners to cope with and escape reality, but also how the Nazis used music as propaganda. Video of Holocaust survivors, musical performances in the concentration camps, and a live performance of ghetto songs will be used to reinforce these ideas and concepts. Instructor: Thomas Cimarusti
