Conversations on Classism and Race

$25
WB0220 – October 23 at 1:30pm – 2:45pm, Friday

Racism is a deliberately designed strategy to prevent class consciousness and multiracial alliances. As long as working and middle-class whites are focused on the "others" (blacks, browns, reds) instead of economic progress, the status quo will remain. Racism is always brought into focus during difficult economic times like now. In this class we will discuss American classism and the relationship between racism and classism in society. Instructor: Dr. Martha Bireda
