RA: World Heritage Sites of Israel
World Heritage Sites of Israel (5hr In-Depth Seminar; Lunch Included)
A World Heritage Site (first started in 1975) is a place that is listed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as having special cultural significance. In Israel, seven singular places have achieved that designation, with two additional groupings that cover seven more locations. Join us as we explore the best Israel has to offer. They range from pre-historic caves to Solomonic fortified cities, the Nabatean Spice Route with several fortresses crossing the desert, to a 12th century Crusader fortress, a 16th century Ottoman Turkish city, and the 20th century Bauhaus “White City” of Tel Aviv.
